The Student Union project will provide the College with a facility that will cater to the social and organization needs of the student population. The estimated project cost is $11,000,000.

Campus Infrastructure

The Campus Infrastructure project included new paved roadways, parking areas, and utilities, providing greater access to the West Hills College Lemoore campus and easing the flow of traffic along perimeter roads.

Video Surveillance

A complete video surveillance system was installed throughout the campus in September 2012, in efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for West Hills College Lemoore students and staff.

Parking Lot ID Signage

The addition of new parking lots around campus has increased the need to identify these areas in emergency situations. Parking lots can now be identified by signage at the top of the existing parking lot light poles.

Campus Road Repairs

Existing asphalt roadways, fire lanes and parking areas throughout the campus are in immediate need of an oil rejuvenation, which will ultimately prolong the lifespan of the asphalt paving.

Field Sports

The Field Sports project entails the development of sports fields and supporting facilities on approximately 28 acres of existing vacant land at the southwest corner of the West Hills College Lemoore campus.

Photovoltaic Field

The West Hills Community College District will soon be constructing a multi-megawatt photovoltaic field at the West Hills College Coalinga - Farm of the Future. An ISIS report is currently being by prepared by PG&E.

Campus Roof Repairs

The existing roofs of Building 200B, 200C and 200D were recoated in April 2011. Minor repairs were also addressed during the project. Total project cost was $46,000.

Outreach Centers

The West Hills Community College District is currently exploring potential locations for establishing outreach learning centers in the supporting communities of School Facilities Improvement District No. 3.

President's Message

West Hills College Lemoore is committed to quality education and has had a positive impact on our communities for the past ten years. As a result of the passing of Measure E on November 4, 2008 the West Hills Community College District (WHCCD) has been able to move forward with plans to improve and expand West Hills College facilities for Lemoore, Avenal, and Riverdale. Measure E is an investment in the students of our communities who will be the nurses, business owners, and teachers of tomorrow. What better investment is there than education for decades to come? On behalf of the administration, faculty, staff, and our students we appreciate the citizens of School Facilities Improvement District (SFID) No. 3 for your support!

This website will provide on-going information concerning Measure E and is our way of communicating and ensuring the expenditure of your tax dollars are appropriated for the bond requirements. I encourage you to visit the website regularly to stay informed on Measure E funds and how they are being utilized to benefit our communities.

What is Measure E?

In the June 2008 election, WHCCD successfully passed a $31,000,000 general obligation bond to provide financing for long-term construction and facilities improvement projects in Lemoore and the surrounding communities.

What will it cost?

Property owners will pay less than $25.00 per year per $100,000 of assessed valuation of their property.
